Who knew taking a credit card to use as payment for my mother’s cremation would be so difficult! These people screwed up and charged my husband’s card not once, not twice, but THREE times! And while they did refund me, today I got a letter from a collection agency saying I didn’t pay and that I owe it again. Unbelievable! If you’re self pay using a credit card, BEWARE!

The entire staff at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home was a pleasure to work with. They were eager to assist with all arraignments for my brother Juan Jose Lopez, audio/visual needs and the finances as well. Thanks to Blake, the receptionist, and to Mr. Chavez for a most memorable experience.
Overall staff is friendly and I was somewhat happy with my husband's memorial service BUT I wish I was contacted before prayer cards were printed and the obituary was posted. His birthday and date of death were wrong. It got corrected the day of the service and new cards were printed.
I also had originally asked for a deacon (paid for the "donation) I called to notify them that the deacon was not needed and was assured that the deacon would be canceled . The day of the service the deacon shows up...since he was never canceled. I have been calling frequently with no success to get a refund for a service that was not used...but the manager does not return calls.
The two funeral services my family had at Sunset Northwest was phenomenal. The building and chapel are beautiful, clean and exceptional. The crew set up all our belongings for the funeral and packed up after. The funeral Director, handled all the arrangements, made phone calls, scheduled a Deacon from the church to perform rosary, and funeral service. The viewing and music was awesome, we got to choose our own pictures (up to 250), and provide up to 10 songs via Spotify. My two back-to-back funeral services were for a cremation and not Casket. The team did all the work to set it up. They set up and cleaned up the reception room for the wake afterwards as well. They helped us unload/load our vehicles with floral arrangements, viewing items, i.e. pictures, trinkets of my family. I would recommend for any family to have their funeral services here to celebrate a loved ones life and Legacy. mdg
Sunset Northwest did a good job and assisting us with the burial of both my father then a year and half later my mom.
